Blyth's Reed Warbler

Acrocephalus dumetorum


Habitat: Scrub or clearings, often near water, chooses trees or bushes as songposts

Distribution: Temperate Asia and easternmost Europe, migrates in winter to India and Sri Lanka

Diet: Insects, other small food items such as berries

Distinguishing features: Plain brown back and pale underparts, distinctive slow and repetitive song
