Habitat:  Shallow freshwater or coasts

Distribution: East Africa, Indian subcontinent to southeast Asia and Australia

Diet: Fish, frogs, crustaceans and insects

Distinguishing features: White body, brownish-black lower legs and feet, yellow eyes , bigger than Little Egret and Cattle Egret
