Over the past couple of months, we have had intermittent rains, just enough to nourish the greenery (weeds included) in the lake bund and on the lake bed. The last weekend 27-29 May was spent in clearing the unwanted plants from the lake bund, and where possible, the shallow parts of the lake bed. It took an army of tough guys to do this and it's done now.
With the rains, the walking track has sunk in places. This is being repaired by the BBMP contractor.
Painting of the railings and sidewalk is in progress. It's going to be all green and yellow.
Security cabin and toilets... in progress
Gazebo has progressed beyond this pic... side walls are up and benches are ready to be fixed inside.
The rains of last night (30-May) has put some more water into the lake. The green cover is deceptive... water depth is about 5 feet. Inlet work is still on.
Most of the trees planted in Jul-Oct 2010 are doing well. Some did not catch and replacements will need to be planted.
