Habitat: Urban and suburban open woodlands, cultivation and around habitation

Distribution: Native to Asia, now present in other parts of the world including Canada, Australia, Hawaii, South Africa

Diet: Insects, arachnids, crustaceans, reptiles, small mammals, seeds, grain and fruits and discarded waste from human habitation

Distinguishing features: Brown body, bright yellow bill and legs, bare yellow patch behind the eye
