Neem

• • It is a tall evergreen tree that can grow up to 100 feet.

  • The small bright green leaves are alternate and consist of several leaflets with serrated edges.

  • It has a straight trunk with hard, rough and scaly, bark fissured even in small trees.

  • The neem tree blossoms are small and white.

  • The olive like edible fruit is oval, round and thin skinned.

  • Neem gives out more oxygen than other trees.

  • Planting a Neem tree in the house is considered auspicious. It finds mention in a number of ancient texts. Its leaves are hung on the main entrance to remain away from the evil spirits.
